Cloud and remote connection
When your AI runs in a web browser, Cloud provides a secure relay to Rigbolt on your Mac.
Product documentation · Rigbolt v0.1.1 · Updated October 2026
When Cloud is needed
ChatGPT Web and Claude Web connect to the public remote MCP endpoint and require an online paired Mac.
Local Claude Desktop, Cursor and Codex use the local stdio bridge and do not require Cloud.
Cloud never executes a local terminal command on its own; Rigbolt on your Mac owns execution.
Pair a Mac
Open Rigbolt → Settings → Connections & Remote.
Use the managed hosted Rigbolt Cloud flow to connect/pair your Mac.
Authorize a supported web client through OAuth and confirm the Mac is connected.
Keep the Mac and Rigbolt running during remote tasks.
If a device goes offline
Confirm your Mac is awake, online and running Rigbolt.
Inspect the managed Cloud connection state and retry the connection when it has failed.
Check the client authorization and whether your firewall/proxy permits the outbound relay.
Review Rigbolt History and Cloud health only for sanitized diagnostics.
